I have loads and loads of personal experience that proves you wrong.

Literally been playing this godforsaken game for 20+ years. Knowing it takes about 2000 cow runs, and an estimated 200 hours for a Ber rune to drop, that's an average of 6 minutes per cow run. So we need do about 2086 HC(Hell Cow) runs and spend about 200 hours to get Ber rune. Where does it say in the game files that it takes 200 hours to farm a high rune? You didn’t cite a drop rate, you said “200 hours.” Nothing in your link supports that.ĭid you even read it? 5th post down, 0.000137% drop rate for each cow followed by:

I just feel the new D2R will have very, very few high runes, making items like Enigma (Jah Ith Ber) actually very, very, very rare. I'm curious as to the thoughts of the community on this. The community is too evolved now to use gold, so I'm curious, will just any rune, mid-runes for example, be currency? Gems? Gold? Actual gear for gear? When I fist started D2, back in 2002, I actually remember a time when I traded stuff for and with Gold. Right? On top of the quicker ladder season turn overs. So I can't see HR's being a currency anymore. I've read in Q&A sessions that drop rates are not being altered, which means HR drops (without dupes and cheats) are going to drop so infrequently and be incredibly rare. Reason being, as long as I can remember, High Runes have been currency. what is the economy going to be like in a D2 setting that:Ī.) Utilizes new B.net's more advanced anti-hack/dupe/bot/cheat engines. I've been thinking over the past couple days.
